The Tameside Reporter and Glossop Chronicle, two highly respected paid-for weekly newspapers, have been serving the local community for more than 150 years.

Founded in 1855, The Tameside Reporter covers the areas of Ashton, Audenshaw, Denton, Dukinfield, East Manchester, Hyde and North Cheshire, Mossley and Saddleworth, and Stalybridge, while the Glossop Chronicle focuses on Glossop and the High Peak. The titles are owned by individuals who work in the business.

Producing a minimum 100 tabloid pages each week, the concentration of the publications is on local news and pictures, together with an advertising mix which mirrors a growing retail business serving the area and a prosperous property market.
